National Conference on Varmalogy, May-2008
This conference was to highlight the results of the Varmam system of treatment and initiate a scientific approach to prove its efficacy. The intended participants are those with a government recognized medical degree, (B.S.M.S, B.A.M.S, B.H.M.S, B.Y.M.S, M.B.B.S, MD, MS) and those who are presently studying to obtain a medical degree in a government recognized institution, a practicing physiotherapist and the students of physiotherapy.
Papers were presented both in Tamil and English at the conference and interactive sessions in Tamil, Hindi and English. The event was guided by our Honorary Advisors

Objectives of this conference
The major objective of this conference is to highlight the results of the Varmam system of treatment and initiate a scientific approach to prove its efficacy by
- Highlighting the areas where Varmam treatment extended by ARI has shown positive results without any side effects or adverse effects, ability of medicine less cures.
- Medical practitioners trained in Varmalogy to share the results of their Varmam practice with their peers to showcase how Varmalogy functions effectively in conjunction with Siddha, Ayurveda, Allopathy, Homeopathy, Physiotherapy and Naturopathy treatment systems.
- Expand the reach of Varmam medicine which at present closely bound to the Tamil language. So as to be accessible to all and to encourage further research into India's Varmalogy, that enables Varmam to take its rightful place as a universal medical science.
- Work towards achieving recognition and patent protection for Varmalogy as an Indian system of medicine.

Chikungunya & Sequel
